Hey, this is Janice! I am a registered dietitian, currently living in Chicago. I help people achieve wellness through finding satisfaction in eating and managing disease conditions with a mind-body approach.

My own journey to mind-body wellness didn't come easy.

Under high stress of school and work, I slowly neglected my body cues and my health deteriorated. I binge ate chips when I was stressful. I couldn't sleep well because I worried about my grades and work performances. In 2015, my doctor told me I suffered from emotional eating, had Irritable Bowel Disease and pre-diabetes.

My personal struggles lead me to where I am today - I want to support you through obstacles and find peace with your body and mind.

We will be on this journey to discover your body - your likes and dislikes on food and exercise, your disease-related constraints and your mental health. I use a non-diet and Health At Every Size approach, which is personalized and specific to your health needs. I have expertise in managing chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and gut disorders.

Let's chow with mindfulness and live with happiness.

Cheers,
Janice

Background

I completed my Bachelor in Science in Dietetics at University of California, Berkeley in 2011. I obtained my Master of Science in Nutrition at Tufts University Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy, and completed my dietetic internship at Tufts Medical Center in Boston in 2013.

I began my career as a clinical dietitian in 2013 and worked at acute care hospitals, long term care facilities and outpatient clinics. I had experience working with conditions including diabetes, renal disease, heart disease, malnutrition and picky eating for children.

"Janice is the first healthcare professional that truly listens to me. She helps me identify how stress affects different areas of my health and life. We worked together to find exercises that I enjoy and eat mindfully. I have learned to accept my body and listen to my body cues."
